It has been revealed today that Michael Flatley is working on a massive new production provisionally called ‘Irish Dancing Circus’. It is believed that it will be one of the most expensive Irish shows ever to be produced and will tour the world from next year.

What is even more interesting is that the show will not take place in theatres in the same way as Lord of the Dance and Riverdance. Instead, Flatley will be touring with one of the largest custom-made circus tents ever assembled and a caravan of some of the most exotic animals from around the world.

Dancers and traditional Irish musicians will appear alongside fantastic circus gymnasts and dangerous animals such as lions and tigers. Flatley says it is time for the ultimate spectacular and that it is important that the show comes from Ireland. “To make something like this has always been my dream. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed about running away with the circus. And now I can create my own version with all the wonderful Irish traditions that I love so much.”

What do you think of Flatley’s plans? Are you excited to see what he comes up with?
