Top Ten Items Lost In The Irish Post

We’ve told you the top ten things left behind at Dublin Airport and now it’s time for the top ten items lost in the Irish Postal system, An Post.

Twice a year for the last twenty years An Post has auctioned off items that were unable to reach their final destinations (proceeds of the auction go to An Post). Wrong addresses, lack of return addresses, and changed addresses are the culprits. An Post goes to great lengths to return as many items as possible but sometimes they simply are unable to locate the senders and/or would-be receivers of all sorts of interesting items.

So without further ado, here are the top ten items lost in the Irish Post:

10. A half dozen bottles of Canadian whiskey and a half dozen bottles of champagne
9. Golf clubs
8. A signed print of the Titanic
7. Wetsuit (ok, so this one’s not too odd)
6. Bicycles
5. Four large Tom Tom drums
4. Various designer bags and watches, like Gucci, Burberry and Rolex
3. Electric floor washer
2. Disassembled motor bike
1. Samurai sword
