Irish Dance Shoes Are All The Rage

Would you believe that Irish dancing shoes are now in fashion? Yesterday’s (October 11th) Sunday Independent LIFE Magazine in Ireland devoted an entire page to stylish flats and heels with an Irish touch. Ghillie-inspired lace-up shoes have even been seen on the feet of famous celebrities like Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johannson. Lace ups are now available for a range of prices from a variety of shops.

Picture 12LIFE recommends checking out amongst others Office Shoes [see image right for their Fritz Lace up], Mango, Topshop and Barrats. Of course, you could always just wear your ghillies out on the town! There’s no sign of a fashionable version of hard shoes, though. Maybe next season.

*Update* The Sunday Independent has allowed us to share a scan of their article with you all. Many thanks to them!

I have a pair of shoes a bit like that! :) They're from Clarkes. All my friends kept asking "Are they your dance shoes? Why are you wearing them to school?"
