Origins of the Irish Dance Costume
Ever wonder why your dance costume looks the way it does?

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to remind you all that Diddlyi has three fantastic journal posts from Sarah Churchill all about the origins of the Irish dance costume – especially since I know many of you are in the process of having new dresses made or buying previously worn costumes from fellow Diddlyiers. I have read the journal posts and I have to say I learned a lot (for example, back in the day, the audience wore the celtic inspired costumes and not the dancers) and I highly recommend you all taking some time to read them! Trust me, they are worth the time.
