Write/Produce for the Diddlyi Audience
At Diddlyi we are helping bring a fresh new look at Irish Tradition to millions of people around the world. Recently, the popularity of Irish Dancing, Music and Culture has exploded – spurred on by the growing Irish Diaspora, phenomenally successful Irish shows and the undeniable magic that surrounds our Traditions.
Diddlyi’s reach is growing and now features a Community, Online Magazine, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed. Our aim is to provide a contemporary, entertaining and ‘pop culture’ perspective on every facet of Irish Tradition. And we want you to be a part of it.
Do you have a novel and entertaining point-of-view or an expertise associated with any of the categories below that you want to share?
We are looking for writers, thinkers and experts to deliver to our audience the excellent content that they are looking for.
The Diddlyi Online Magazine is divided into the following categories:
- Irish Dance
- Irish Music
- Irish Arts
- Irish Interests
- Irish Travel
We are looking for regular and guest contributors to write/produce features, reviews, columns, interviews, news and other content. We can publish both written and video pieces – you pick your favourite medium. Contributors could come from many walks of life, for example:
- Student Journalists – write or record interviews, write show and music reviews, write/produce special features, report news.
- Dance/Music Teachers – write a column illustrating an entertaining project or point of view, write a feature on ideas that you have.
- Creative Writers/Producers – write an ongoing fictional story, produce a series of videos.
- Bloggers/Journalists/Reporters – write a guest contribution, expand on your own blog.
- Musicians/Artists/Performers – tour diaries, recording stories, do something that we wouldn’t even be able to think of!
You will benefit from a significant amount of exposure and attention as Diddlyi continues to grow around the world. All contributors will be featured and highlighted with links to your work.
This is also an excellent opportunity for journalists, artists, producers and eager younger people to get valuable experience creating content for a well known online publisher.
Contributors should be creative, open to editorial direction, timely and have excellent writing skills. Most of all, we are looking for good people that we can build great relationships with as we continue down an exciting road.
