The Top 10 Things Left Behind At Dublin Airport

25 July 2009 2 Comments by Rebecca @ Diddlyi

The Herald.ie (one of my favourite Irish news websites) spoke with Sergeant Pat Brown of Dublin Airport Police about all the things people have left behind at the Dublin Airport. Apparently, there are several large rooms in the airport full of people’s belongings that are never collected. (The airport holds items for three months before auctioning them off and donating the proceeds to charity.) I think you will all be surprised what people have accidentally or perhaps intentionally left behind.

Here are the top 10 things* left behind at Dublin Airport:

10. Sunglasses, belts, and hats
9. Keys
8. Mobile phones
7. Bags of cash and wallets full of cash
6. Luggage
5. Buggies
4. Crutches and wheelchairs
3. Cremated ashes
2. Wedding dress and suit
1. Engraved headstone
